This blog post is about the 5-3-2 STRATEGY for growing your network marketing business.

I am a great believer for network marketers to have systems in place, and to have as much automation as possible while still retaining that personal touch.

Systems make life easier, keep you focused on your daily activities which are measurable. They also help network marketers overcome the frustrations and help your team to duplicate better… And we all want that, right, because it leads to a leveraged income?

Having a system in place will also help your recruits to get started, to overcome their fear of having to help others to get started while still new themselves.

I certainly remember those fears when I first started in network marketing! Heck, nobody got a degree in MLM on their first day. It takes years to truly hone your craft!

So you see, systems are what really create the duplication for new network marketers, and creates it fast.

The thing is, you can get leads every day using social media or with a blog, but unless you have a basic system in place for when they become a new team member things will quickly flounder. My company has a superb interactive training PDF that can help network marketers with all that, but that’s a story for another day.

Basically, you have to be doing THREE activities every day if you want to build and maintain success, which is where the 5-3-2 strategy comes into play.

THE 5-3-2- STRATEGY TRANSCRIPT

Today, I am going to be talking about the 5-3-2 strategy.

When people look at my blog they say, “Man, you must spend hours working on it?”

Yes, I religiously block in some time to be building my business. I am serious about changing the lives of others and enhancing my own.

But if I break it down, I block in 14-15 hours per week per. Most people can find that kind of time if they’re serious and if they really want to build a business that can change their life and lifestyle.

Even so, even for me working from home, that doesn’t all happen in 1-2 sessions. It’s more like 15-25 minutes here and there. Focused nook and cranny time as I call it. And it all adds up over the course of a week, a month, and a year!

It’s time that would otherwise be frittered away not being productive, scrolling Facebook, watching cat videos or watching reality TV garbage.

But I have digressed.

The thing is, a blog is only one part of the marketing mix these days. There are a lot of moving parts to it. It takes real work.

Network marketing is not “netlazy“ marketing. You have to put in the time if you want success.

Likewise, a blog takes real work, it’s a long game. It’s why you should never abandon “active prospecting” to be getting people into your sales funnel TODAY!

And that sales funnel can be very rudimentary in form. Don’t buy into all the guru hype! Simple works, if not better!

SO, WHAT IS THE 5-3-2 STRATEGY?

Well, for me, it all started in dribs and drabs as my blog content started to grow. People started to ask, “what’s your daily method of operation for making sales or getting new people into your team?”

In essence, I use a simple 3 step system known as the “5-3-2 STRATEGY.”

And no, I didn’t come up with it myself. It is something that everyone who wants to be successful in network marketing should implement, every day.

So let’s begin…

1. CONNECT WITH FIVE NEW PEOPLE

If you want to grow your business you need to always be connecting with new people.

Reach out to FIVE NEW PEOPLE EVERY DAY.

Now, these people could be found as a result of something you’ve posted on Facebook or LinkedIn like an inspirational quote, lifestyle image, asking a question, sharing the love, product tip, business tip, time savers or share a must-visit a webpage. Really, anything to engage and interest an online audience.

When people Like your status or page, post a comment or share your post with their friends.

Guess what??

That gives you the perfect opportunity to reach out and engage with them.

Now, you can do that by replying to their comments and sending a private message…

…or you can just send a private message to strike up a conversation about their comment. Then expand the conversation from there by asking questions.

The goal is to discover where they are in life, what their struggles or pains are, and see if there’s a potential fit to then expose them to your product or opportunity.

My favorite preference is to record a short voice memo as you can’t beat the power of the human voice for really connecting!

Other ways to get people, well, that could be from a contact list, someone who sent a message off your blog, from business cards, flyers, paid or free advertisements that you have out there working for you 24/7.

2. FOLLOW-UP WITH THREE PEOPLE

Follow up with THREE people to get them through your funnel by sharing the next steps based on where they’re at in the sales process.

That next step could be to share a link to the company video, live webinar, call or website.

When you feel they are far enough down the road in your sales funnel…

{and you’ve been doing some “to and fro” rapport-building while moving people along}

…it’s then time to schedule the appointment to get their questions answered and handle the most common objections.

Every conversation will be different, but when you conclude your call you should always ask a key question, something along the lines of…

(okay, let’s pretend you’re selling an energy pill here…)

“After our quick chat today, (their name), how do you see yourself getting started?… Do you see yourself getting started as a customer and having more energy than a 5-year-old, or do you see yourself as an affiliate and having more energy than a 5-year-old and at the best discount too?… But you can also join our fun and fast-growing team, and as you simply share your results with others you can earn those products for free… and a little extra, or possibly a lot of extra money as you continue to share with others. I would love to help you get started.”

Their answer will determine if the next step will be to make a product recommendation or a business recommendation … or to move on!

If a product… ask a few questions to evaluate which product is best for them to start with.

If business… Why not ask, “when do you plan to launch your business?”

If it’s right now, then you can walk them through the enrollment process while they’re still on the phone.

3. TOUCH BASE WITH TWO PEOPLE

Reach out and touch base with TWO PEOPLE ON YOUR TEAM.

They could be your personals, their new recruits or they could be leaders located somewhere in your downline genealogy.

You can record a quick voice memo to ask how can you help advance their business today, or you can let them know that you value and appreciate them.

Share the LOVE!

That’s it, in a nutshell, of what my daily 5-3-2 activity looks like.

Of course, there is a little work involved with creating “the something” that leads to the engagement in the first step. But that’s up to you based on time available, budget, current skills, or what you are prepared to learn.
