Does the Facebook algorithm drive you crazy?
Take a deep breath because you’re not alone. The truth is, even if we’re crushing it, our engagement can always be better, right? But sometimes, we do stand in our own way. How crazy is that? The person preventing us from achieving success is… us!
But not anymore! Inside the video today, we’ll share with you 7 reasons why your Facebook engagement is low and how to turn it around today.
How to Increase Your Facebook Reach: 7 Reasons Your Engagement Stinks
Reason #1: Being Too Spammy
Are you guilty of this now or have you ever been in past? We all have!
When we first started using Social Media to build our network marketing business, we were the epitome of walking and talking billboards for our company. Omgeeee … we are happy to report that we too are #RecoveringSpammaholics! Click Here
So go through your content and evaluate it. Ensure that you’re leading with value. Unsubscribe from running an informercial channel. Set up your branding infrastructure in a way that gives you credibility, likability and provokes curiosity.
Reason #2: Inauthenticity
It’s a word! And it’s a word that describes too many people who do Social Media today.
It all happens because we’re afraid to be ourselves. We think that people don’t want to see us, that they want to see someone else.
But fact of the matter is — that’s simply not true. If you come across as fake, your audience will smell that a mile away. And next time, they might not tune in. Because, let’s face it, who wants to watch someone being fake?
Reason #3: Not Enough Value
Yes, as hard as it is to hear, your content might not be fun enough or interesting enough. Go through it and analyze!
Which videos got the most engagement? Did something out of the ordinary happen in them? Or was the topic of a particular interest to your viewers? Do more of what works! Click Here
Reason #4: Inconsistency
It’s so hard to stay consistent, right? But if you don’t do it, people might forget about you or they might even question your credibility! If you don’t show up for them, why would they show up for you? It’s the law of reciprocity!
Ninja Bonus Tip: Remember to always entertain, empower and educate! And if you’re doing all of those things but your engagement is still low, examine how you’re doing it. We’ve discovered over time that if you show up and there’s no joy in your demeanor, people are going to be turned off by that.
Reason #5: Sharing Too Much Unoriginal Content
Sure, you can share someone else’s content from time to time. But if you do it all the time? It’s not a good look. Why wouldn’t your audience prefer to follow the person who created the original content in the first place? After all, it’s their value, and you’re just the messenger.Click Here
So just play with it! Try out different things. If your content isn’t the best at first, who cares? You won’t find your unique voice until you start to speak!
Reason #6: Posting Too Often
Have you done this: you post something and 30 min later, you post another thing?
It’s great that you have a lot of content to share with your audience, it really is. But Facebook doesn’t have enough time to react! The algorithm may take up to a day to share your content on other people’s newsfeed.
So space it out a little! If you still want to post several times, limit yourself to twice a day, and do it at least with a 3-hour gap.Click Here
Reason #7: Live Videos
Are you going Live? If you are — that’s amazing! BUT! If you’re still not experiencing the Facebook engagement you want to be seeing, there’s a chance that your videos aren’t the best.
So examine what you’re doing. Is the lighting good? What about the sound quality? Does the camera shake? Are you looking at the dot? Do you ask questions? How is your energy level? All those things could be playing a part!
If everything is great but you’re not energetic, and you don’t let people see who you are, we’ve got an issue. So let them in! Let them fall in love with you and your message! That’s when you start making an impact!
