Creating your own formula for success in your home based/direct selling business is possible if you follow these eight steps.
Step One:
Find out your ‘Why’ you want to have your own home based business/direct selling business. Are you looking for the freedom of the schedule, the flexibility to create your own hours, the freedom of the lifestyle that you dream of or the time to be with your friends and family? Answering this question first will help you figure out the ‘How’ to do your business.
Step Two:
Write down your goals. Be concise and super clear on this. For example, I will work three days a week on my home based business for the next two years so that I can earn a free vacation with my company, completely paid for by the company, buy the dream home I’ve always wanted and have X amount of dollars in the bank.
Step Three:
Have A Vision. Spend some quiet time alone to allow yourself the ability to really focus on what exactly that free vacation will look like, where will you be – on a beach, in a cabin, in a ski lodge, on a cruise, etc. What exactly does that Dream home of yours look like? Be able to create it in your mind, seeing yourself drive up the driveway, getting out of your car, walking up that front walk and into the beautiful, grand door.
Step Four:
Map out your plan to achieve the goals you’re setting for yourself. Determine how many days/week and hours a day it will take to achieve the success you want within a realistic time frame. Stick to the plan and work it every day without failure or letting anything get in your way. There will always be hurdles but, stay on track to work your plan.
Step Five:
Fill your head with successful people through books, magazines, CD’s, Audio’s, conference calls and training. Always be willing to learn more to be the best that you can be in your field. Learn from the experts and you’ll be able to become an expert also. Continue to develop your self, knowledge and strengths to be the most successful you can be.
Step Six:
Look for strong feeling, like minded, motivated, determined people like yourself to JOIN you. There are many people just like you that want similar successes and are willing to follow a leader. Search for them everywhere you go and always be open minded to the possibility to increase your team with others just like you. They’re all around you if you look hard and long enough.
Step Seven:
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Stay with the company you have chosen and know that if you continue to practice, you can only improve. No one ever gets any worse at any task they do because they practiced too much!
Step Eight:
Don’t Quit. Success will always come to those that follow a plan, have a vision, map out the plan, practice and stay with it over and over until it becomes second nature. Stay on track for your goals and never listen to the naysayers. How successful are they anyway? Many people that do fail, fail simply because they quit when they were so close to success had they only not given up.
