I am 100% serious about this, so hear me out.
Of course there are tips and tricks for different marketing strategies that you can use, but as far as being successful, there is no secret.
I’m going to explain what I mean while answering the previous questions at the same time.
In my experience, there are 5 traits common among all successful network marketers.
1. A Willingness To Learn
It’s too bad that many are tempted into network marketing by promises of “making money just by plugging into the system.” There definitely are some systems that shorten the learning curve quite a bit for many new network marketers.
However, at the end of the day, it’s so important that you are willing to learn. For most, this will be the first time you are starting your own business. Your first network marketing business. Your first time doing any internet marketing.
Would you become an electrician without learning the skills necessary to be a successful electrician?
Of course not.
This is why it baffles me that so many people enter this industry without being prepared to become students of this business and learn how to succeed. If learning and acquiring new skills, such as internet marketing, isn’t something you are interested in doing, it may be a good idea to stick to your day job. This will probably save you a lot of time and money.
2. A Strong Work Ethic
I can guarantee, without a shadow of a doubt, that every successful network marketer (at least every single one I know) has a strong work ethic.
This is vital and without it, success – especially over the long term – will not come. Despite what many think, the majority of network marketers don’t turn on their computer, put up a website and make money. There is actually some work involved.
Working hard (and smart) is something that all successful network marketers do in order to master the skills necessary to run a successful home business. It’s essential that we are prepared to work hard on our our business. How comes it seems as though some people are willing to work hard on their jobs, not themselves or their businesses?
3. Implementation
This is where so many network marketers struggle. Do you ever feel like your brain is overflowing with too many new marketing techniques and strategies? Do you ever feel like you have so much information and don’t know what to do with it all?
Trust me. You are definitely not alone.
This has happened to all of us at one time or another in our careers. The important thing to keep in mind is that while learning is crucial, it’s even more critical to implement what you learn into your business. Don’t get caught up in the cycle of just watching training videos all the time and forgetting to apply what you learn.
Get out there and market! That’s what the top network marketers do. Just take one strategy at a time. Learn one strategy, master it, and then you can tackle the next one!
4. Invest In Yourself
Remember, you are your business. How much you grow as a person is how much your business will grow. Chad and I are constantly investing in ourselves and growing all the time.
It’s important that we invest in courses, education and tools to help us grow our business. It’s just as important to invest in personal development as well, if not more important.
5. Take Consistent And Massive Action
This is key. We can’t expect to spend a couple of days on our business here and there. Throwing up a blog post from time to time and spending five minutes on Twitter every other day isn’t going to produce any real results.
Success absolutely requires consistent effort on our part. A little bit each day is often better than a lot every once in a while.
Just as important to consistency is taking massive action. Tackling article marketing as a strategy is more than writing one article a month. How about 20-30 in a month?
Remember, massive action equals massive results.
