Exercise is also a useful measure that will help us in combating high anxiety levels as the endorphins produced will help promote a “feel-good sense”. Many of us tend to resort to alcohol and cigarette smoking as a means to cope with our increased anxiety. These measures only result in temporary gratification and relief of symptoms. In the long-run, both alcohol and cigarette smoking will be detrimental as they exert harmful effects on the body and may result in addiction.
